Who knew Alpaca could be so cute?

After dropping the two oldest boys off at school this morning, NA and I decided to make a trip to Trader Joes and Whole Foods. Being the un-processed Mama that I am, it is always enjoyable to stock up on the things that I just can't get at my regular grocery store. One of which was the knit alpaca hat we just couldn't resist from Whole Foods for just $15:

Alpaca is an animal that lives in the highlands of the Andes Mountains. Alpaca is known for it's soft, warm and lightweight texture. The hat is actually hand-knit by cottage industry. Women knit in their homes or gather together in small groups and earn a fair wage per piece. It couldn't have been more perfect for my little monkey!
Wow, I almost forgot. . .in my last post I left you with quite the cliff hanger. . . So, what did I get from Goodwill? You won't even believe it if I told you. . .

Wait for it. . .

Wait for it. . .

And GO :
2 AUTHENTIC black Coach purses (one being a Station Bag) and 1 AUTHENTIC Dooney & Bourke black purse! How much you ask? All three for $6 plus tax. . .$6.36 to be exact!
I just so happened to be standing by the stock-room door when they wheeled out the cart full of newly donated items that needed to be put out. I first, looked them over to make sure they were authentic - I have acquired a knack for doing so - and once I found them all to be real as rain, I snatched them up and held them tightly to my chest as I politely walked to the cash register. Ok, who am I kidding, I RAN like my behind was on fire right up to make them mine - all mine!
I am currently using the D&B bag and am thinking about putting one of the Coach purses on Ebay. Really friends, I don't want to be greedy!!!!! I must share. Heck, it's Christmas time. . .a little extra present money would really come in handy!
I'm not sure what blows my mind the most. . .the fact that I actually found three designer bags at Goodwill, or that someone actually got tired of three REALLY nice bags and donated them! Oh well, however I look at it, I HAVE BEEN BLESSED!
I must leave you for the evening! The boys are in bed and I am now enjoying "my me time". I needed a little extra tonight since this is what my evening looked like:
What do you think of the "picture" that Monkey drew for me?

  4. That's awesome about the purses, my Goodwill actually prices things according based on their real value, so those would have been more like $20 a piece at my goodwill, maybe I should look for another one =)!

Love that hat by the way! Adorable!
